The Cleveland Heights Swimming and Diving team is not only active in the water, but also around the community as well. On Sunday, October 7, the team volunteered to help hand out water to runners in the fourth annual Happy 5k and 10k. The marathon proceeds support the Cleveland Heights Youth Scholarship Fund.

Sylvia Snow-Rackley is a junior at Heights this year. She has been on the swim team for three years. Each year she has helped volunteer through the swim team, although this year was the first year that they have done this particular event. She says community events such as this help bring the community together. “They help show that Heights High School is a benefit to the community and that Heights kids are a positive addition to the Cleveland Heights community,” Snow-Rackley says she would be excited to participate in any additional volunteering opportunities that swim team provides.
